There are many launch sites in the area, the following are the least technical and quickest to get to.

Costa Lunga - 20 minutes by road
East facing. Take off height: 760m. Thermals start here about 10:30am.

A great place to start an early XC flight to either the West or East.
This was the launch site for the PWC back in 2004.

Take off area is large enough for about 6-7 gliders at a time. The house thermal is directly infront of launch and easy to get up in.
The main landing area is large and easily reachable with a straight glide out.

Da Beppi & Cassette - 25 minutes by road
Launches to the South & West. Take off heights: 800m & 1000m.
Again thermals are starting here early at around 11.00am.

Da Beppi is the launch we use when the South wind is stronger, or in the midday hours.
The house thermal is directly to the left of launch.
Beppi is an exceptionally good launch to start an XC flight in most directions.
In April '06 a Slovenian pilot flew from here 230km to the East, back to Slovenia.

Cassette is for stronger west winds plus evening restitution flights.

Garden Relais - 160m.

This is now the official landing field, it used to be only for hang gliders many years but since the building of this brand new 4star hotel everyone is welcome.

There is a restaurant/cafe/hotel there for lunch and drinks between flights.

Depending on the conditions of the day the wind can swing in most directions, but normally the wind blows left to right of picture. Towards the mountain, no surprises there really.

Ideal landing here at the end of the day if you are staying here...

NEW from 01.06.07: Casale Nuovo LZ- 180m.

Slightly smaller than the Garden Relais but easy enough to land here.

The wind normally blows directly towards the mountain(from top left to bottom right).

This is very close to where the flying school and tandem operation work from.

This is pretty much in the centre of Semonzo and there are many places to get refreshments near by.

Also it is a very short walk to Tilly's guesthouse from here.
