Flights to Munich/Salzburg/Innsbruck, transfers from airport, getting to launch or insurance.

Flights
British Airways now fly out of Gatwick to Innsbruck, 45mins away.

Lufthansa fly out of Manchester, £72 return at the moment.

easyJet do very cheap flights from Stanstead to Munich, under 2hrs away.

British Midlands fly out of both Heathrow and Manchester to Munich.

Ryanair fly to Salzburg. Possible to use if you'd like to hire a car or get here by train.

Transfers from Munich or Innsbruck
We'll be happy to arrange a transfer from the airport for pilots and non-flying partners.
This is payable in resort (possible to pay with credit card) & costs 98€ return.
This transfer service will drop off/pick up directly to/from your hotel in Mayrhofen.

OR Pilots can get the train from Munich/Innsbruck which is easy enough and a little cheaper, but not by much.

Transfers from Salzburg
Unfortunately there is no shuttle transfer that operates from Salzburg. However the train service is good to get to Jenbach, the end of the Zillertal. From there it's a 55minute train ride to town where we will meet up and take you to your accommodation.

Insurance
Yvonne Jukes at AIRSPORTS is still highly recommended by us, although due to the amount of claims made recently they have had to put up their premimums.
Please do not let this put you off getting insured. Also we insist and verify that all pilots have insurance.

Lift tickets/getting to launch
Single ticket to launch is 8.30€ on the Penken/Ahorn cable-cars. 12€ for Hohe Salve(inc. start & landing fee). When the day has good XC potential then we will go to Melchboden, the bus ride costs 6.30€
or a quicker taxi will cost around 10€ per person.

Launch Fees
Some launch sites are private and are subject to launch and landing fees. The Hohenstrasse launch is 3.50€ per day and other launches are around 2€. However our main launch on the Penken has NO fees to pay.

Trips to other flying arenas
It may be possible to fly on the south-side of the alps if the north-side is blown out or wet. The excellent alternative of Bassano is only 3.5 hours drive. The group can vote on whether it's worth to travel there (minimum 2 nights). There are some possiblilties of cheap stay overs(25€ per night).

PLEASE NOTE THAT DEPOSITS ON COURSES ARE NON REFUNDABLE
