Over 4000m in Tuxertal
Monday, August 17th, 2009The weekend just gone has been amazing with cloud base peaking yesterday at over 4000m. On both Saturday and Sunday I closed two 50km triangles around the Tux valley, (pix to follow). Base was at 3600m Saturday and allowed easy passage thru the high mountains around the Hintertux valley, smooth 3m/s and clouds showing the way.
Sunday was a little stronger but still fine to fly.Sunday sticks in my mind as i flew with 3 of my close friends around the whole route, it’s always special to share such experiences with mates eh? You’ll see what I mean when you see the pix.
Off flying again now looking EPIC and will try to get to Italy and back, stormy tomorrow so I’ll post a selection of the best photos from the last 3 days then.
I have 2 weeks off before the Bassano courses start in September so it’s great to be able to take advantage of these classic XC conditions in the BIG mountains.
Stay tuned…
