First XC of the Season

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

The big days are still a while off but yesterday gave a small hint of what’s to come. Climbs up to 2500+m on Penkenjoch allowed easy transitions to Kristal Hut and back and pretty smooth. Only a 20km out and return but it’s the earliest I’ve attempted it. I am flying the Vega II at the moment and loving it, it climbs really well in the light stuff too.

The big days are coming soon, so I hope that you’re also looking forward to the longer, warmer days.

Well the Worlds has been very interesting, hope you’ve kept an eye on it, Jean Marc-Caron was looking good for a while but paid hard with a bomb. Looks like Andy Aebi is gonna take it, proving him and his proto are going extremely well, 2008 PWC winner too.
